Membership

The annual subscription is :

Senior Membership
€25 for renewal of senior membership
€40 for first or elapsed senior membership

Junior Membership
€5 for juniors membership

Restricted Membership
€25 for renewal of restricted membership
€40 for first or elapsed restricted membership  

payable on or before April 1st each year and shall entitle members and temporary members to public liability insurance. Day tickets are available at €10 each.

All members/day ticket holders will be asked to read, understand and sign the following declaration.

1. Comply with all relevant statuary provisions and take reasonable care to protect his/her own safety, health and welfare and of any other person who may be affected by his/her acts or omissons while angling.

2. To insure that he/she is not under the influence of an intoxicant or is in a such a state as to endanger his/herself or others.

3. Not to engage in improper conduct or endanger his/her own safety or that of any other person.

4. All members must comply with club rules, fishery board and marine regulations.

5. The property of landowners must be respected at all time, gates must be closed. If landowners request anglers to leave his/her property, this must be done without hesitation. All litter and discarded line must be taken home to be disposed properly by all anglers.

6. All members must produce membership card and catch on request by a water keeper.

7. The use of live fish as bait is illegal.

8. Trout under 11 inches must be returned alive to the water.

9.  The use of white or red maggots is forbidden for trout fishing.

10. Trout season commences on the 17th March and concludes on the last day of September. It is illegal to remove any fish regardless of species after September.

11. Any member who is accompanied be person(s) who are not registered member, risk having their membership revoked. Person(s) found fishing illegally will have their equipment confiscated and risk a court apperance.

12. New senior/restricted members will be requested to pay a fee of €40 for the first year and for the following years, there will be a set annual fee, this applies to new senior/restricted members.

Monasterevin & District Anglers Association accept no responsibility for any damage to angler's vehicles or equipment left unattended.

By accepting membership, i agree to all club rules, fisheries acts and regulations.

The committee shall at all times reserve the right to refuse application for membership.

Restricted members of the association have no voting rights at any general meeting.

All intending new members must be proposed by two committee members and then passed at an ordinary meeting before membership is given.

The minimum age of a senior shall be 16 years of age on or before April 1st of the year of application. Junior membership will be given to applicants below this age.

Full senior membership will only be given persons who have a postal address and live in Monasterevin. Restricted membership will be given to persons who live and have a postal address outside Monasterevin.

New applicants for full senior membership will require having three years restricted membership prior to application.
